Why do they call Beulah Henry “Lady Edison”?

No, she was not married to the famous inventor, but like the great Thomas Edison, she has a hundred inventions and nearly 50 patents in her name.
An ice-cream refrigerator, dolls with coloured eyes, soapy sponges…

But best of all … the photocopier.

Well, not exactly like the one we have today. It was a typewriter able to make four copies of a document at a time. It might seem silly, but it was a time when there were no personal printers able to make infinite copies of any file on our computer.
