Elucidating the role of the type ii transmembrane serine protease st14 and its relative during epithelial carcinogenesis
The activity consists in elucidating the role of type II transmembrane serine protease ST14 and its relative during epithelial carcinogenesis, using zebrafish mutants in the ST14 inhibitor Spint1 as an in vivo model. This study will shed important new light on the mechanisms of epithelial carcinogenesis and tumor suppression.
